Bernard “Bo” Brinkley, 46 a resident of Dothan passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Northview Christian Church with Pastor Hart Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home.
Bernard was born March 27, 1969 in Houston County and lived here most of his life. He was a 1989 graduate of Northview High School and attended Florida State University. He was employed with United Parcel Service (UPS) for 20 years until his death. Bernard was a coach for his AAU, “Dothan Blaze” youth league basketball team. He was a member of Northview Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife Precilla Brinkley of 20 years; daughters, Brittany Brinkley and Carmilla Brinkley; parents Frances Dean Pierson Brinkley and Burt Brinkley; mother-in-law, Willene Beacham Thomas, father-in-law Bobby Thomas; aunts and uncles, Emory and Gloria Davenport, Belleview FL, Deloris and William Glover, Davenport Iowa, Grover and Barbara Pierson, Robert and Therisa Pierson, Cathy Pierson, Dothan AL Margaret and Ira Galvin, Quincy FL West Brinkley, Fairbanks, Alaska, Dean and Benny Smith, Newark New Jersey, Raymond Beacham, Alvin Beacham, Vera Beacham, Curtis Beacham, Midland City, Rev. Leon and Robbie May, Birmingham AL, Lena and Walter Ludgood Midland City AL; several nephews, nieces and cousins.
