Bernard Earl Roberson, a resident of Dothan passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Wesley Place. He was 79 years old.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Roberson was born August 10, 1939 in Romeo, Michigan and lived there the early part of his life, He joined the U.S. Army in 1965 and was a pilot in Vietnam. He was later employed with Civil Service as a liaison. Following retirement, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and raising Buffalo. He was an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church of Dothan.


Survivors include his wife, Jo Lynn Roberson; sons, Tim (Tracy) Roberson and Bryan “Hill” (Suzi) Carlile; a daughter, Taren Lazzari; grandchildren, Nicholas, Emma, Jacob, Taylor, Tiffany, Brandon and Broxton; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donnie Roberson and Gerry Roberson.
