Mrs. Bessie Mae Wiggins James, age 99, of Dothan passed away July 11, 2014 at Wesley Manor in Dothan.



 



Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, July 14, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church in Ashford with Reverend Coley Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time at the church.



 



Born December 19, 1914 in Holmes County, Florida to the late Seab and Cora Nowell Wiggins, Mrs. James was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church.



 



In addition to her parents, Mrs. James was preceded in death by her husband, William L. James, an infant son as well as her brothers and sisters.



 



Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Ray) McNiel; her grandchildren, Allen McNiel and Amanda McNiel; special friends, Jim (Linda) Little, Bobby; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.



 



The family is accepting flowers and would like to say a special thank you to Wesley Manor, Gentiva Hospice, and the nurses and staff at Martin West.
