MONTGOMERY…. Mrs. Bessie Pauline Bean Wright, a resident of Montgomery (formerly of Ozark) , died early Tuesday morning, April 7, 2020 at the home of her daughter. She was 96.
Due to COVID-19 Restrictions and CDC guidelines, a family graveside service is scheduled for 11:30 A.M. Friday, April 10, 2020, in the Hamilton Crossroads Tennille Church of Christ Cemetery with her son, Bro. Q.P. Bean officiating. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wright, daughter of the late James Lucas and Lola Mae Pearson Lucas, was a native of Pike County, Alabama. She was a longtime member of the Hamilton Crossroads Tennille Church of Christ. Mrs. Wright received an honorary Doctorate from Virginia College in Massage Therapy. She was formerly employed with the Ozark City Schools at Lisenby Elementary School. Mrs. Wright was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and above all a child of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Q.P. Bean; daughter, Linda Bean.
Leaving to cherish her memory include her four daughters, Evelyn Ward; Beverly Bean Williams, Edna Chambers, and Margaret Bean; two sons, Q.P. Bean (Charidy) and Kevin Bean (Jeanette); two sisters, Dorothy Lucas and Mellie McCall; six brothers, Achaniel Lucas, Joel Lucas, Charlie Lucas, Melvin Lucas, Ezra Lucas and Willie Lucas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many many friends and extended family.
A special thanks to her daughter, Beverly Williams and care provider and friend, Dee Dee Washington.
