MIDLAND CITY. . .Betty Adkins Hutto, a resident of Midland City, died Saturday afternoon, April 15, 2017, in Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. She was 82.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Joseph Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sylvan Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, near Midland City. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Hutto was born and reared in Grimes, daughter of the late James Tillman Adkins and Gladys Mercer Adkins. She lived in the Sylvan Grove community all her adult lifetime. Mrs. Hutto was a member of the Grimes United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Glenwood Hutto.
Surviving relatives include two sisters, Bobbie Williams (Norman), Dothan; and Bonnie Riley, Grimes; a sister-in-law, Mavis Wright, Napier Field; a great-niece who was like a daughter, Staci Mills (Kelvin), Midland City; a niece, Tammie Dixon, Dothan; four nephews, Scott Williams, Dothan; Dickie Riley, Grimes; Roger Wright, Midland City; and Tommy Wright (Kim), Dothan; several other great-nieces and great-nephews.
