PENSACOLA, FLORIDA. . .Betty Dasinger Skeen Collins, a resident of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Dothan, died Saturday morning, October 30, 2021, in the Bayside Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pensacola. She was 92.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Billy Rich officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed.

Mrs. Collins was born in Dothan and was reared in Headland and Pansey. She lived in the Dothan area most of her lifetime before moving to Pensacola in 2017. Mrs. Collins was a member of the Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Headland. Shewas retired as an Inspector from Sony Corporation in Dothan. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her father, Alton Parker Dasinger, her mother, Cora Bea Pierce Dasinger and her step-mother, who helped to raise her, Rosie Pittman Dasinger. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Julius Ralph Skeen and Reverend Leland David Collins, Sr., a son, Bobby Ray Clayton, two sisters, Gladys Graham and Lucille Moring, and five brothers, Horace Dasinger, J. L. Dasinger, Johnny Dasinger, Robert Earl Dasinger and Buford Dasinger, and also step-brothers, Virgil Pittman, Sam Pittman and Horace Pittman.

Surviving relatives include a son, Tommy Wayne Clayton (Kris), Pensacola; two step-daughters, Myra Jackson, Dothan, and Lesia Steverson (Ronald), Chipley, Fl; and a step-son, Len Collins (Tracy), Helena, AL; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Clayton, Dothan; two granddaughters, Chris Wallace (David), and Sarah Frank (D.J.); four great-grandchildren, Paige Ireland, Elizabeth Jones (Tyler), Grayson Frank and Gabe Frank, a great-great-granddaughter, Ayla Ireland; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
