BettyJane (Campbell) Kendrick, 82, of Clio, Alabama passed away February 2, 2023, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Barbour County on September 10, 1940.  She was a 1958 graduate of Barbour County High School and went onto Birmingham and received a degree in business. While in Birmingham she met James Michael Kendrick. She and Mike went onto be married and have 2 children, Jon and Melissa. She was a faithful and devoted woman, wife, and mother. After 30 years, she retired from Civil Service, Fort Rucker, Alabama. She took pleasure in her family and helping on their farm and serving at her church. Many loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wallace and Vera Campbell, and two brothers, Robert Campbell and Dean Campbell. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Mike Kendrick; children: Jon Kendrick, Gardendale, Al, Melissa (George) Atnip, Thomson, GA; one sister Mary Evelyn Beck. Eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The family also would like to express their sincere appreciation to Kimberly Wilkinson Wynn, and also Southern Care Hospice for devotion and time given in the care of Betty and her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2023, at
Sykes Creek Baptist Church (1921 Hwy. 10 Clio, Al. 36017).
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Pastor Kenneth Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing.
Flowers will be accepted, and donations may be sent to Sykes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 1921 Highway 10, Clio, Al 36017.
