Betty Jean Alberson (BJ),  a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2024, in Graceville, Florida, at the age of 73. Born on August 28, 1950, in Brewton, Alabama, she was a daughter of the soil who carried the warmth of her hometown throughout her life.

Betty was a graduate of her local high school and furthered her education at Riley Business College, which paved the way for her successful career in administration with a trucking company

A loving wife to her late husband, Angus Taft Alberson, and a nurturing mother, Betty's family was her pride and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Angus Comer Alberson and Troy Alberson and her parents, Wade Allen McCurdy and Lona Mae Flowers McCurdy, and her brothers. Her legacy of love continues through her son Shane Alberson and his wife Heather, step-children Glen Alberson, Brenda Fountain,  Marlene Alberson Schaller, her daughter-in-law Andrea Alberson, and her cherished grandchildren Tucker, Gracie, Reagan, and Will Alberson. Her brother and sisters also survive her, holding dear the memories of a life shared with generosity and compassion.

Betty's life was a testament to her selfless nature. She was an active member of Grandview Baptist Church, where she served with joy in the nursery, touching the lives of many families with her gentle spirit

Her interests were a reflection of her nurturing character. Betty's garden was a vibrant tapestry of colors and scents, a testament to her love for gardening and the beauty of nature. She found solace in the soil and joy in the blooms, sharing the fruits of her labor with friends and neighbors.

Betty's life was marked by the love she had for her family and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. She was the embodiment of selflessness, always putting others before herself.

As we bid farewell to Betty Jean Alberson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her love.
