BETTY  JEAN  KELLEY  PRESCOTT

REHOBETH…Betty Jean Kelley Prescott, a resident of Ready Road, Rehobeth, died Wednesday morning, October 23, 2013, in a Dothan hospital. She was 75.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 25, 2013, in the Fairview Baptist Church, north of Samson, AL with Reverend Wayne Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Holman-Headland Mortuary directing.  The family will receive friends at the mortuary in Headland from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday.

            A native of Samson, daughter of the late Preston D. Kelley and Connie Lee Hicks Kelley, Mrs. Prescott lived in Defuniak Springs, FL and Headland before moving to Rehobeth in 2000.  She was a retired Inventory Control Manager at Winn Dixie in Dothan.  Mrs. Prescott was of the Baptist faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert “J.R.” Prescott, a son, Kenneth L. (Ken) Prescott, and a brother, Qunion Kelley.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Vicky Williams, Rehobeth; a son, Tim Prescott (Elizabeth), Headland; two sisters, Maggie Marsh, Samson and Jeanette Boswell (Charles), Fairview Community; sister-in-law, Connie Kelley, Opp; a brother, Preston (Junior) Kelley (June), Elba; and a grandson, Christopher Chase Williams.
