Betty Jean Lamb, 86, of Dothan, AL passed peacefully and was escorted by angels to see Jesus on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was born on May 9, 1936, in Geneva County to the late JT Hatcher and Loraine(Williams) Hatcher. She was reunited with her loved ones and many friends. This is not a goodbye for us only til we meet again.
Funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, February 16, 2023, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until service time on Thursday.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Betty enjoyed watching hummingbirds, growing daylilies, and baking.
When Betty entered Heaven, she was reunited with her parents, husband, Frank Lamb, brother, Robert "Bob" Hatcher, and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Lamb.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Mary Lamb Hammack, son, Tommy (Cindy) Lamb, son, Frankie Lamb, grandchildren, Connie Hammack (Michael) Vance, Ashley Lamb, Brittany Lamb, Lindsay (Hunter) Parker and Leslie Lamb, great grandchildren Hank, Cole, and Dean Parker which were all the apple of her eye. Brothers, James (Glenda) Hatcher, Johnny (Wanda) Hatcher. Sister-in- law Patsy Hatcher, and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, or contributions may be made to: The Alabama Kidney Foundation, 265 Riverchase Pkwy E Suite 106, Birmingham, AL 35244.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Hatcher, David Hatcher, Greg Hatcher, Hunter Parker, Don Head, and Jimmy Campbell.
