Betty was born on May 26, 1937 in Canton, Ohio and lived there until she turned 18. She was a 1955 graduate of McKinley High School before she joined the US Army at Ft. Sam Houston and met the love of her life, Donald Brewster and they married in 1957. Together they moved to New Orleans and in 1975 moved to Dothan. Betty was an avid card player, loved playing bingo, and working crossword puzzles. Watching the Braves play, cheering for Ohio State, and going to Biloxi to test her luck were among other favorite pastimes. More than anything, Betty enjoyed being with her family, especially watching her daughters play softball. We will always remember MawMaw in our hearts as a loving mother and grandmother to her seven grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brewster, her parents, Fred and Dorothy Maurer, and by her sister, Nancy Chester.
Survivors include her three daughters, Connie Johnson, Lori (Kenny) Juneau, and Julie (Steve) Monday; her seven grandchildren, Jason Clark, K. C. Juneau, Weston Monday, Kaitlyn Juneau, Wyatt Monday, Walker Monday, and Wagner Monday; and several nieces and nephews.
