Betty M. Walker of Dothan, Alabama passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, August 3, 2017 after suffering a long illness. She was 83 years old.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Sunset Funeral home Chapel with Jim Crowe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chapter 87 of the DAV, P.O. Box 6863, Dothan, AL, 36302.

Mrs. Walker was a retired LPN that practiced in Florida and Dothan. She was a dedicated volunteer to the state and local DAVA chapters. She was loved and will be greatly missed. She is joining her loving husband, Charles Walker, who preceded her in death in March 2017.

Survivors include her daughter, Laura Shirie; two brothers; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
