Mrs. Betty Jane Mote Britto, 82, of Shalimar, Florida passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Her funeral will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. EDT in the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home, Blakely, GA, with Rev. David Crowdis officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation Friday evening, June 30, 2017 from 6 -8 pm EDT at the Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home. Weather permitting, a private burial (family only), will be held at the Morgan Cemetery with Rev. David Crowdis officiating.


Mrs. Britto was born on Oct. 12, 1934 in Edison, Ga to the late William M (Bill) Mote and Lindie Jane Phipps Mote. She was a homemaker and a member of the Deloris Hope Chapel, an Inter-denomination church in Shalimar, FL. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Mote and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Mote.


Her survivors include her husband, Charles Henry Britto of Shalimar, FL, 2 Sons: Randy Britto and his wife Dana of Dothan, AL and Craig Britto of Tampa, FL; 2 sisters: Sara Helen Killgore of Decatur, GA, Louise Porter and husband Charles of Edison, GA; 3 brothers: Ben Mote of Edison, GA, Billy Jack Mote and his wife Anna of Cuthbert, Ga and Jerry Mote of Americus, Ga. She also has one grandson, Joshua Britto of Dothan, AL.
