BETTY STILL ARNETT
MIDLAND CITY. . .Betty Still Arnett, a resident of Midland City, died Monday night, January 20, 2014, in the Signature Healthcare of North Florida in Graceville. She was 75.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2014, in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, near Grimes, with Reverend Danny Quincey and Pastor Mark Flack officiating. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Avon. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1550 Parramore Road, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Arnett was born and reared in Houston County, daughter of the late Kenneth Paul Still and Dovie Crawford Still. She moved to Dale County, between Headland and Midland City in 1968. Mrs. Arnett was retired from the Blanche R. Solomon Memorial Library in Headland as Librarian. In earlier years, she was employed by Civil Service at Fort Rucker. Mrs. Arnett was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Still.
Surviving relatives include her husband, William Charles (Billy) Arnett, Midland City; two daughters, Thersa Tonden (Tim), Carneys Point, New Jersey; and Sherry Perry (Lamar), Dothan; four grandchildren, Christopher Tonden, Courtney Perry, Caitlin Perry, and Carmen Perry; a sister-in-law, Doloris Still, Dothan.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Wayne Hancock, Randy Harrison, Steve Hancock, Dennis Coe, Ronnie Nowell, and Kenneth Coe.
