Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 1:30 pm in Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Ralph Sigler officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the International Assistance Group at www.iagoutreach.com.
Betty Jo Ann Stribling, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at her residence. She was 81.
Betty was born on February 27, 1942 in Oregon and lived her early years there. She resided in Alaska for several years prior to moving to Hawaii. Betty met the love of her life in 2008, and married him and moved to Dothan in 2009. She was a very loving and caring person and helped create the non-profit organization, IAG to care for, Karen Refugee children from Burma in Thailand. She was a faithful member of Harvest Church and volunteered in the church office and was a member of the missions committee and a small group.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Casteel Andrews and Kenneth Andrews; her sisters, Judy McClosky, Linda Russell, Myrna Summers, Marion Ficken; her brothers, Jim Andrews and Darold Andrews; her son, Greg Schlarbaum;and her stepdaughter, Roxanna Stribling.
Survivors include her loving husband, Rick Stribling; her sisters, Ilene Cole and Geraldine Bishop; her brother, George Andrews; her daughter, Robin Huggins; and her grandchildren, Sierra Kilpatrick and Joshua Gross; her step-daughters, Regina Stribling and Stacey Hinsley; and her step-grandsons, Chase Hinsley and Logan Hinsley.
