Betty Sue (Baxley) Ferguson, 76, a resident Enterprise passed away Friday, May 24, 2024, at her son’s residence in Rehobeth following a long illness.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Glover Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Sherrer officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.


Flowers will be accepted.


Betty was born September 19, 1947, in Dothan to the late Hilton & Oletta (McAllister) Baxley. She attended school in Rehobeth and Midland City, and lived most of her adult life in Rehobeth. Betty worked as a Revenue Clerk with AAA Cooper Transportation for over 20 years prior to her retirement, and has lived in Enterprise for the past 20 years. She was a member of Asbury Church in Elba.


She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, CW4 (Ret.) Thomas Samuel Ferguson; and a daughter, Tammie Ward.


She is survived by her son, Chris Ward (Tammy) of Rehobeth; two step-sons, Scott Ferguson of Enterprise, and Bobby Ferguson (Regina) of Vidor, TX; a step-daugther, Faith Heidecker (Benji); a sister, Linda Norris of Dothan; a brother, Hugh Baxley of Tigard, OR; several grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
