HEADLAND, ALABAMA. . .Bettye Jean Chambers Ham, a resident of Headland, Alabama, formerly of Sevierville, Tennessee, died early Friday afternoon, May 17, 2024, in a Dothan hospital. She was 88.

            Graveside services will be held at later date in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

            Bettye Ham was born and reared in Sevierville, Tennessee, daughter of the late Herman Alford Chambers and Roxie Blalock Chambers. She moved to Headland in 2023 to live with her son. Bettye was a retired employee of the Gatlinburg Skylift. She was preceded in death by a son, Allen R. Ham and all her sisters and brothers.

            Surviving relatives include a son, James David Ham (Virginia), Headland; grandchildren, Samuel Riley (Rachel), Tiffany Ham, Haley McGlathery (Zack); great-grandchildren, Christopher Riley, Carver Riley, John McGlathery, Samuel McGlathery and Oliver McGlathery.
