Billie Jean Meredith

Billie Jean Meredith, a resident of Signature Health Care, died there Friday, April 24, 2015. She was 85.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday, April 27, 2015 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Monday prior to service time.

Mrs. Meredith was born February 16, 1930 in Leachville, Arkansas and lived most all of her life in Missouri. She and her late husband Gene owned and operated Meredith’s Grocery for over 30 years. After retirement, she moved to the Dothan area to be with her family. Billie was a loving, compassionate, and giving woman who always put others first.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri DeRamus (Samuel) of Castlewood, VA; three grandchildren, Ryan Shelley (Jessica), Nick Shelley (Kathy), all of Rehobeth and Whitney Dean of Dothan; three great-grandchildren, Mason Dean, Konnor Dean and Addison Shelley.
