Billy E. Brooks of Chancellor, AL passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was 71 years old.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Providence United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

 

Billy was born in Shreveport, LA on April 21,1950 to the late Fred Otis and Elma Louise (DC) Caskey. Mr. Brooks was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and telling stories.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Milton and Ronald Ray Brooks.

 

Billy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 43 years, Virginia Brooks of Chancellor, AL; three daughters, Delia Davis of Chancellor, AL, Laura Johnson (Jan) of Chancellor, AL, and Carol Green (Richard) of Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Katelyn Fain (Jake), Lucy Davis, Jerzi Johnson (Peyton), Keely Johnson, Jackson Ludlam, and Lindsey Ludlam; one great grandson, Bennett Fain; one brother, Mike Brooks (Ronda) of Bossier City, LA; special K-9 companion, Buster Leroy Brooks.

 

The family would like to thank Josh, Tasha, and Jami of Southern Care Hospice for their devoted love and care.
