Billy Gene Skinner, Jr., 46, a resident of Headland passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his residence.

Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Ross officiating. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Skinner was born May 5, 1969 in Geneva and lived there the early years of his life. Mr. Skinner moved to Dothan in 1998 and was employed with New Holland, John Deere and Wiregrass International. He enjoyed playing with his children and being outdoors. He was a member of Pathway Baptist Church.

Mr. Skinner was preceded in death by his parents, Billy G. Skinner and Elizabeth Ballard Maninger.

Survivors include his wife Amanda Garrett Skinner; sons, Tyler Skinner, Will Skinner, and John Skinner; sisters, Rosealynn (Ricky) Newdiger, Rhonda Harris, Shaunda (Wesley) Martin, and Lydia Maninger; step-father, Gene Maninger; a granddaughter, Kate Skinner; a brother-in-law David (Michele) Garrett.
