Billy Glynn Bell, Sr. a resident of Eufaula, Alabama passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Henry County Health and Rehab surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 11:00 p.m. CST at Kettle Creek Cemetery in Waycross, Georgia with Pastor David Marshall officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. A visitation will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Glover Funeral Home in Eufaula, Alabama from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions to be made in honor of Billy to Southern Souls Animal League- 1702 N. Eufaula Ave. Eufaula, Alabama 36027.

Billy was born December 17, 1939, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Claude Allen and Frances McDowell Aldridge. In 1976 he moved to Eufaula and was the owner of BG Bell Trucking where he loved working and trucking for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed the eating clubs at Waffle House in Eufaula and Michelle’s Restaurant in Georgetown where he would gather with many of his friends. He also enjoyed fishing and camping but most of all he loved his family and would always help others in any way possible. Billy was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Sandra Kay Jeffords Bell; two sons, Roy Clayton Bell and Allen R. Bell, Sr.; nine siblings, Earl Aldridge, Wanda Aldridge, Donna Aldridge, Ronnie Aldridge, Tommy Aldridge, Darrell Aldridge (Betty), Danny Aldridge, Van Aldridge, and Jerry Aldridge.

Left to cherish his memories are his three loving children, Billy “Glynn” Bell Jr. (Pam) of Headland, Alabama, Janie Parker (Tommie) from Crawfordville, Florida, and Dennis Bell (Jennifer) of Eufaula, Alabama; surviving siblings, Glenda Davis (Buddy) of Waycross, Georgia, Judy “Judy Bug” McDonald (Calvin), and Michael Griffin; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Aldridge, wife of Jerry, and Carolyn Aldridge, wife of Earl; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey Bell, Joey Bell, Lauren Bell, Madison Parker, TJ Parker (Grezelda), Eric Bell, Alaina Bell, Zachary Bell, Allen Bell (Sarah), and Tera Northrup (Kevin); fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins from Georgia and Louisiana. You all know who you are and how special you are to the family.

Asked to serve as pallbearers are Jeff Bell, Joey Bell, Allen Bell, Bubba Davis, Buddy Davis, and Bo Aldridge.
