Billy Joe Barfield

Billy Joe Barfield, resident of Daleville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 24, 2020. He was 84.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Billy Joe was born on December 14, 1935 in Crisp County, Georgia to the late Benjamin and Alice Barfield. He was a longtime resident of Lake Wales, Florida, he moved to Arabi, GA in 1994, and then to Daleville, AL in 2014. Billy Joe was an avid Georgia Bulldog football fan. He was a retired installer/repairman for GTE. He was of the Baptist faith.

Billy Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Alice Barfield, and by his brothers, Ernest “Sonny” Barfield and William Kenneth Barfield.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Barbara Barfield; his 3 daughters, Alison (Tom) Freeland, Kimberly Browning, and Brenda (Jimmy) Bolden; his step-children, Dan (Leloni) Weeks, Lucy (Bruce) Collins, and Tom (Gina) Weeks; his 10 grandchildren; his 9 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Earlene Campbell and Joyce Cason; his sister-in-law, Gloria Barfield; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his pets, Paisley, April and Molly.
