BILLY JOE KILPATRICK, SR.
HEADLAND. . .Billy Joe Kilpatrick, Sr., a resident of the Blackwood Community in Dale County, died late Friday night, May 24, 2013, in a Dothan hospital. He was 75.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Randall Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Napier Field Volunteer Fire Department, 358 Headquarters Street, Napier Field, AL 36303.
Mr. Kilpatrick was a native of Pike County and was reared in Grimes where he lived most of his lifetime before moving to the Blackwood Community in 2011. He was formerly employed by Eastgate Manufacturing Co. of Ozark and Dolly Madison Industries of Napier Field. Mr. Kilpatrick had also been engaged in farming. He served as a volunteer firefighter for the Napier Field Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Langford.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Velma Baker Kilpatrick, Headland; a daughter, Marilyn Wallace Thompson (Mike), Midland City; three sons, Mike Wallace, Ft. Worth, TX; Billy Joe Kilpatrick, Jr. (Mona), Phenix City; and Roger Kilpatrick (Michelle), Monroe, LA; two sisters, Elizabeth Kilpatrick and Inez Hammond, both of LaGrange, GA; two brothers, Jimmy Kilpatrick, Abbeville; Rex Kilpatrick (Patsy), Wicksburg; ten grandchildren, Chelsea, Sierra, Logan, Roger, Jr., and Rogeria Kilpatrick, Alia and Maria Wallace, Nathan Thompson (Abby), Chasity Enfinger (Tim), and Kirstin Wilde (Chris); four great-grandchildren, Aiden Thompson, Blake and Donnie Enfinger, and Jackson Wilde.
