BILLY MILLARD HOWELL
ABBEVILLE. . .Billy Millard Howell, a resident of Riverview Forest Estates on Lake Eufaula, formerly of Dothan, died Saturday night, March 16, 2013, at his home. He was 78.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Earl Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Headland.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, P.O. Box 1045, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mr. Howell was born and reared in Dothan, son of the late Martin Luther Howell and Annie Lee Baxter Howell. He lived all his life in Dothan before moving to Lake Eufaula in Henry County in 2000. Mr. Howell was retired as Distribution Foreman from Colonial Baking Company in Dothan after forty-three years employment. After his retirement, he was employed by Tri-State Rubber Company in Dothan. Mr. Howell was a member of the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church. He was an avid Alabama football and NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sandra Rogers Howell, Abbeville; two daughters, Debbie Maddox and husband, Eddie, Dothan; Michele Taylor and husband, Richard, Glenwood, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Patsy Howell, Headland; Connie Martens, Davenport, Iowa; Vicki Anders and husband, Frank, Copperas Cove, Texas; five grandchildren, Mickey Exum (Brandy), Erin Exum (Josh), Stephanie Exum-Carpenter (Neil), Shea Odom (Jon), Jarett Maddox (Adrienne), Drake Uszakow, Malia Taylor and Zachary Taylor; eleven great-grandchildren; his special canine friend, “Sam”.
