BLONNIE BEE SKIPPER
HEADLAND. . .Blonnie Bee Skipper, a former resident of Headland, died Sunday morning, November 4, 2018, in Westside Terrace in Dothan. She was 91.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Norman C. Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Headland “Nursery Fund”, 103 East Church Street, Headland, AL 36345.
Blonnie Skipper was born and reared in Cottonwood and lived in Headland all her adult lifetime. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Headland where she retired as a nursery worker after many years. Blonnie was preceded in death by her father, J. W. Whitehead, her mother, Ruby Hamm Granger, her step-father, Joshua V. Granger, four sisters, Georgia Whitehead Granger, Beulah Gilbert, A.D. Adams and Sheryl Ellis and two brothers, J. B. Whitehead and John L. Whitehead.
Surviving relatives include her nieces, Lisa Ellis Curtis (Mike), and Sheryl Jean Ellis Luitjens; her extended family, Ashley Knowles Whitfield (Clay), Kara Knowles Etheredge (Andrew), Drew Etheredge, Martha Ellen Granberry (Tim) and Emma and Ella Granberry.
