Bobbie Lucille Russell of Enterprise, AL passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 in Enterprise, AL. She was 89. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother known as “Granny” Russell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 26, 2021 at Lee Street Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Doster and Rev. Jeremy Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lee Street Baptist Church WMU or Children’s Ministry, 630 E Lee St, Enterprise, AL 36330
Mrs. Russell grew up in the Goodman Community and where she attended schools. Following her education, she worked many years at the Enterprise Shirt Factory. She married Joe Russell in 1959. Working alongside her husband at their Gulf Station, and then BP Station, where they won many awards for service through Gulf, BP and Ryder Truck Rentals.
She was a faithful servant and member of Lee Street Baptist Church, after joining other members from Park Avenue Baptist Church when they helped establish Lee Street as a mission church. At Lee Street, she was a member of the WMU, Sunday School programs, VBS, loving babies in the nursery, working as a church secretary for many years. In the community, she worked with the Altrusa International, and the Enterprise pageants. She was also a tireless booster with Enterprise, Samson and area sports.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean Davis (Ronald), Samson, AL; son, Paul Russell (Susan), Enterprise, AL;5 grandchildren, Jason (Brianna), Jeremy (Mandi), and Eric (Paige) Davis, Joey and Katie (fiancé Alex Hutto) Russell; 9 great-grandchildren, Evan, Parker, Paisley, Layla, Ezra, Emma, Zoey, Sadie, Aliza.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Jeremy Davis, Eric Davis, Joey Russell, Mickey Grimes, Felix Grimes, Bill McDaniel and Alex Hutto.
