Mr. Bobby Dick Watson, age 81, of Dothan passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Born July 15, 1933 in Syracuse, KS to the late Dick Daryl and Verle Howland, Mr. Watson was a member of Grandview Baptist Church. He served his country in the military with the Army. He owned and operated Bobby Watson and Sons Electric in Dothan, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing, he loved helping others even people he didn’t know, he was known to his family by his famous words, “I’ve got to be doing something, or “you need to find something to do”.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Watson .
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. Family will be accepting friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Flowers are being accepted.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Carolyn; three sons, Mike Watson (Shelia), Rick Watson (Kathy), Chris Watson (Marie), joyfully reunited with his son Kenny Watson; 10 grandchildren, Natalie Solomon (Scott), Ryan Watson (Megan), Erica Ingalls (George) Whitney Hester (Jason), Pam Ivey (Nathan), Amanda Watson, Zach Watson (Kim), Blake Watson (Megan), Katie Watson and Brittney Watson; eight great-grandchildren, Dillon Solomon, Madison Pitts, Drake Pitts, Jon Preston Ingalls, Ella Scott Solomon, Randy Watson, Jackson Cash Ivey and Alexis Parrish.
