DOTHAN. . .Bobby E. Taylor, a resident of Dothan, died Friday afternoon, March 25, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. He was 81.


Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 28, 2022, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend George Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.


Bobby Taylor was born in Henry County, near Newville, and was reared in Dothan, son of the late Oscar William Taylor and Quillie Martin Taylor. He lived in Houston County, between Lovetown and Cottonwood, since 1978. Bobby was retired from Unifirst Uniforms as a Route Salesman. He was preceded in death by two sons, Edwin Wesley Long and James Jerome McKenzie, two sisters, Geraldine Bowen and Betty Calhoun and two brothers, Donason Taylor and Lurie Taylor.


Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-seven years, Jo Linda Richards Taylor; a daughter, Sara Dunning (Jerry), Wetumpka; daughters-in-law, Mary Long and Mary McKenzie; a brother, Rob Taylor (Betty), Webb; three grandchildren, Maria Lee, Chris Long (Amy), and Lisa Hamilton (Russell), a special nephew, Marty Richards (Sherry); seven great-grandchildren, Robby, Bethany (Landon), Taylor (Justin), Mark, Alyssa, Megan and Blake; and one great-great-grandson, Grant; special family members, Carol and Ronnie Moulton; very close friends, Jimmy Johnson, Tim and Cathy Weed, and Dennis Cole; several nieces and nephews including, Danny Money (Ann), and Sharon Cullifer.
