Mr. Bobby Gene Odom, age 76 of Dothan departed this life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Ozark.


A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Odom will be held at 10AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Reverend Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Park with Family First Funeral & Cremation Care directing. The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM Friday night, November 24, 2018 at Family First Funeral & Cremation Care.


Mr. Odom was born May 14, 1942 in Tarpon Springs, Florida to the late Rufus and Elva Carter Odom. He attended school in Graceville and Chipley, Florida. Bobby entered the United States Air Force where he honorably served our country in the Vietnam War. For his valiant service he was awarded the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army/Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Metal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross and the Air Force Commendation Medal. On January 16, 1972, Bobby entered holy matrimony to Josephine Lamsen.
