Bobby Gene Worley, 29, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, unexpectedly from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Glover Funeral Home with Pastor Dereck Womack officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 on Saturday.
Flowers will be accepted.
Bobby was born in Dothan, on November 2, 1993, to Bobby Gene Worley, Sr., and Beverley Jean Kyzer. He lived all of his life in Cottonwood and was a 2012 graduate of Cottonwood High School. Bobby was a farmer most of his adult life. He has been employed with AAA Cooper as a mechanic for the past year. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Bobby was a man of few words and will be remembered for his gentle nature. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, “Go Dawgs!”
He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, James & Maryann Worley; an uncle, Joe Worley.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Tiffany Kyzer of Cottonwood; fiancé, Kim French of Chipley, FL.; future in-laws, Johnny & Tina French of Panama City, FL.; future brother-in-law, Johnathan (Khrama) French, of Panama City, FL.; a special niece, Addie French; and several cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Josh Henderson, Jared Etress, Aubrey Womack, Kyle Tipton, Matthew Welch, H.D. Watford, Jordan Ramey, and Timothy Welch.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Worley and AAA Cooper Mechanics.
