HEADLAND….Mr. Bobby Jack Webb, a resident of Headland, died Monday afternoon, July 21, 2014, at his home. He was 73.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 24, 2014, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Phillip Durr officiating and eulogies to be given by granddaughters, Morgan Bowman and Ashley Davis. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory between Headland and Dothan. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
Mr. Webb was a lifelong resident of Headland, son of the late John Yarbrough Webb and Lily Barfield Webb. He served his country in the Army National Guard. Mr. Webb was a retired employee of Ansell, Inc. in Dothan. He was a member of the Gateway Church in Headland. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by two sisters, Selma Louise Parmer and Nell Townsell and two brothers, Darby Webb and Earnest Webb.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Inez Knight Webb, Headland; two daughters, Bobbie Jean Knappenberger (Dale), Level Plains, AL; and Melinda Bowman (Scotty), Newville; a brother, Byrd Webb (Ruth), Headland; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Hubert Knight, Arthur Webb, Earl Knight, Nathan Blankenship, Jody Knight, Kaleb Sleeper, and Adam Davis.
