Bobby Joe Cureton a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 pm until 3 pm Sunday.

Mr. Cureton was born August 25, 1951 in Marianna, Florida and he moved to Dothan at an early age. He was a 1971 graduate of Dothan High School and he served in the United State Air Force from 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1974. Mr. Cureton was preceded in death by his parents, C. C. and Edna Cureton and a brother, Russ Cureton.

Survivors include his brothers, Earl Cureton, James Cureton, Johnny Mack Cureton; his sisters, Virginia Manwaring, Margaret Smith, Mary Dickson, Rose Cureton, Willie Cureton and Janis Cureton; several nieces and nephews.
