BOBBY LEE WALKER
NEWVILLE, AL… Bobby Lee Walker a resident of Newville, Alabama, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at his home. He was 75.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Jackson Chapel Cemetery, in Capps, Alabama, with Pastor Eugene Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday evening, November 12, 2021 at Wright Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the graveside services the family wishes for everyone to attend a meal in the Jackson Chapel Church Fellowship Hall. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Bobby was born in Capps, Alabama to the late Tom Walker and Lola Culver Walker. He was a lifetime resident of the Henry County area, mainly the Capps, Headland, and Newville areas. He was a farmer by trade and had helped quite a few farmers in his years.
Along with his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by his siblings, Ray Walker, Jessie Walker, Simmie Marsh, Codine Cockran, Willie Walker, Connie Walker, Quilla Walker, and Lester Walker. He also has a daughter, Gerald Denise Walker, that has missing for a few years.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his daughters, Carolyn Gilmore, Caroline Walker, Angela Reese (Larry); his sons, Bobby Walker Jr. (Sherry McCray), Tyrone Gilmore, Willie Earl Gilmore (Donna Gilmore); his sisters, Lola Mae Walker and Betty Walker, his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Kirby Shelley, Clay Johnson, and Harnage Elliott. The family also wants to thank Jackson Chapel Church for its love and support through this difficult time.
