DOTHAN. . .Bobby Ray Clayton, a resident of Dothan, died Friday morning, October 29, 2021, at his home. He was 70.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Phillip Durr officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Highway, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mr. Clayton was born and reared in Ashford and lived in Dothan most of his adult lifetime. He formerly co-owned and operated Service Industrial Supply Company where he served as Secretary and Sales Manager. Mr. Clayton was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He was preceded in death by his father, O. Z. Clayton and an infant daughter. Shortly after Mr. Clayton’s death, his mother, Betty Dasinger Skeen Collins,passed away Saturday morning, October 30, 2021.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Sharon Clayton; three daughters, Amanda Whitehead (Wade), Rehobeth; Kristin Calhoun and Emori Clayton, both of Dothan; a brother, Wayne Clayton (Kris), Pensacola, FL; a granddaughter, Ansley Whitehead; nieces, Chris Wallace (David), Sarah Frank (D.J.), nephews, Grayson Frank and Gabe Frank, great-nieces, Paige Ireland and Elizabeth Jones (Tyler), a great-great-niece, Ayla Ireland.
