BOBBY W. JENKINS


SKIPPERVILLE.… Bobby W. Jenkins, a resident of Skipperville, passed away Tuesday morning, April 7, 2020 at his home. He was 84.


            Due to the COVID-19 Virus, a family graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 9, 2020, in the Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Lee Windham and Reverend Don Moore officiating. Anyone wanting to attend the service will be allowed, as long as the CDC COVID-19 social gathering guidelines are met. There will be a public address system set up so it can be broadcast with everyone sitting in their vehicles to listen. The family would ask that anyone who wants to sign a register and attend the viewing without the family being present (because of CDC Covid-19 guidelines) may do so after 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the Wright Funeral Home & Crematory.


              Mr. Jenkins was born in Dale County to the late John C. Jenkins and Rosie Nell Walding Jenkins and lived there during his childhood. After high school, Bobby joined the U.S. Navy where he served his country. Returning home he started his career as an aviation mechanic where he worked with Northrop, Sikorsky, and retiring with Dynacorp  He attended the Peniel Baptist Church of Skipperville. He was an avid farmer. Bobby also loved to fish and hunt.


              Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, John Hugh Jenkins; a sister, Linda N. Jenkins, and his brothers, Dan Jenkins and James Jenkins.


              Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife, Margaret Paramore Jenkins; his son Bobby Wayne Jenkins, Jr. and his wife Ruby English Jenkins, all of Skipperville; his sisters, Virginia Cunningham of Midland City, Billie Ann Senn of Tyler, Texas, Sonya Senn (Mack) of Crestview, Florida, Debra Kowal (Jeffrey) of Birmingham; his brothers, David Jenkins (Karen) of Echo, and Mitchell Jenkins (Loretta) of Snellville, Georgia; his brother-in-law, Billy H. Paramore (Linda) of Skipperville; a host of nieces and nephews.


              Serving as active pallbearers will be Billy Polumbo, Terry Cunningham, Len Windham, Terry Spivey, Roger Culpepper, and Dennis Walker.
