Bonnie Faye Fisher, a beacon of love and gentleness, passed away on May 4, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 13, 1952, in Maryland, Bonnie’s life was a testament to the power of love and dedication.
Bonnie’s journey began in the halls of Ridgely Jr. High in Timonium, Maryland, where she met her soulmate, Wayne Fisher, at the tender age of 13. Their love story was one for the ages, culminating in a blissful marriage that spanned five decades.
As a homemaker, Bonnie poured her heart into creating a warm and inviting home for her beloved husband and their children. The aroma of her cooking welcomed friends and family alike. Her interests were as unique as her personality, from her love of Mickey Mouse to her admiration for Donald Trump, each reflecting different facets of her vibrant spirit.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Faye Stewart.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Wayne Fisher; son, Terry Fisher (Melissa); daughter, Tracey Torres (Hector); grandsons, Clayton Torres and Cameron Torres; siblings, Linda, Ray, and Jeannie; dogs, Rudy and Maggie, were her constant, loyal companions.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, May 13, 2024, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Bonnie’s life was a masterclass in love and kindness. She was a gentle soul who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like cooking and spending time with her loved ones. Her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her, reminding us that at the heart of life is the love we share and the memories we cherish. Bonnie Faye Fisher will be profoundly missed, yet her light will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
