Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 4:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Robert L. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-4 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Brenda L. Williams, a resident of Valdosta, GA passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at a local hospital. She was 57.

Brenda was born on April 26, 1964 in Troy, Alabama to George A. Batie and Lillian Tolbert Batie and lived her early years there. She was a 1982 graduate of Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama. After graduation, she joined the United Stated Air Force and honorably served her country for 25 years before retiring. After retiring from the Air Force, she worked as a contractor in logistics for DynCorp. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, George A. Batie; and her siblings, Kenneth V. Batie and Tawanna C. Tolbert.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Williams; her sons, Marcus T. (Bernadette A.) Williams and Anthoney M. (Zakiya A.) Williams; her granddaughters, Lilliana M. Williams, Sophia A. Williams, Valencia R. Williams, Amelia R. Williams and Elyse R. Williams; her mother, Lillian Batie; her siblings, N. Keith Batie, Vinson E. Batie, Chris L. Batie and Fatima Batie; her two best friends, Cynthia McCullough and Alecìa Colòn; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
