OZARK… Mr. Brian K. Gowan, a resident of Ozark, died late Friday evening, February 5, 2021 at his home. He was 63.
In keeping with the wishes of Mr. Gowan and his family, there are no public services planned. Interment will be in Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, Alabama. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923-1389 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
Mr. Gowan was a native of Chautauqua, New York and moved to Ozark in the early 1980’s. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Gowan was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bruce Gowan.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Xan Harper; his son, Robert R. Gowan, both of Ozark; mother, Rosina J. Gowan, Holiday, FL; brother, Kevin R. Gowan (Lisa), Ozark; step-children, Marina Harper and Brittany Harper; grandchildren, Jordyn, Karmyn, Ivy, Elizabeth and Elijah.
