Obituary: Bro. Robert Louis “Bob” Ledlow
Bro. Robert Louis “Bob” Ledlow of Dothan went home to be with the LORD on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He was 87.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Dr. Bradley Rushing officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.
The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Bro. Bob Ledlow was born February 6, 1934 in Ragland, Alabama to the late Russell Pearson and Addie Ree Kitchens Ledlow. He was a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Seminary and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where he served as Associate Pastor for 22 years. In addition, as an ordained Southern Baptist Minister, he served his Lord in churches throughout the Southeast for over 60 years, lead numerous mission trips to Honduras, and served on the Honduras Baptist Dental Mission Board and the Alabama Baptist Executive Board for a number of years. He was a loving husband, adoring father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Bro. Bob’s life is personified in the Apostle Paul’s final letter to young Timothy: "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
In addition to his parents, two sisters: Joyce Ledlow and Nancy Ledlow; and a great granddaughter, Jane Martin, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Nan Ledlow, Dothan; daughter, Liz and her husband Dr. Bobby Martin, Dothan; sons: Bobby Ledlow and his wife Laura, Murfreesboro, TN, and David Ledlow and his wife Kellie, Dothan; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Lewis (Ed), Palatka, FL; brothers: Larry Ledlow, Alaska, Russ Ledlow (Betty), Millbrook, and Alan Ledlow, Alaska; numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
