Mr. Burl Wesley Lee, age 87, of Dothan passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014.


                                  


A native of Cottonwood, born September 22, 1927 to the late John Lee and Lillie Hall Lee.  Mr. Lee was a charter member of the Logos Baptist Church. Mr. Lee was a retired fireman of the City of Dothan Fire Department; he enjoyed farming the farm lands in Cottonwood, performing contracting work for individuals, an avid outdoors man, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.


 


In addition to his parents, Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Willadean Lee, and his brother, Milliard Lee.


 


Survivors include his son, Paul Lee (Ellen); a very special granddaughter, Beth Lee; sister, Dorothy Hall (Roy) of Dothan; several nieces and nephews, special and supporting nieces and nephews, Rodney Hall, Barbara Peters, Cathy Fitzgerald, and Terri Michalic.


 


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Anderson and Reverend Billy Rich officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM, Friday, December 12, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.


 


Serving as active and honorary pallbearers will be the Dothan Fire Department Honor Guard.


 


The family will be accepting flowers, preferably donations be made to the Logos Baptist Church Building Fund.
