Captain Thomas T. Braun, age 71, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 11, 2020 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Pastor Shawn Crosby officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. on Friday.

He was a loving husband and father who believed his grandkids were beyond reproach.  He was an amazing Pom Pom to his grandkids, family and even his Enterprise Police Department family.

He was a dedicated Police Officer in Enterprise for over 40 years and served his country as a military police officer in the United States Army.  If he saw a police officer with sunglasses raised on top of his head, he asked, “Is that issued head gear?” [Insert “raised eyebrow”.]

He was an “apt” fisherman who was always convincing his girls and grandkids to join him in the boat. He would claim he caught the biggest fish on record when it really may have been his fishing partner.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie A. Braun, Enterprise, AL; his fur son, Marco; daughters, Katherine E. Dixon (Paul) Mobile, AL; Laura E. Braun, Enterprise, AL; Melissa Braun Hodiwala (Mahyar) Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Kinley Johnson; Koby Dixon; Madisyn Dixon; Gracyn Boswell; Jackson Hodiwala; sisters, Dora Morrow, Florala, AL; Leola Samuels, Warner Robbins, GA; a brother, Mal Braun (Brenda) Samson, AL.
