Carl Douglas (C.D.) Watson of Ozark, AL passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 at his home. He was 77.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 21st at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. R. O. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Memorials may be made to: Bethany Cemetery Fund, 1805 County Road 533, New Brockton, AL 36351.

Mr. Watson was a United Kennel Club Master of Hounds for over 40 years. He was the area representative for United Kennel Club and ACHA for many years. He was a long time member of the Heart of Dixie Coon Hunters Association of Ozark, AL and the Notchaway Coon Hunters Association of Edison, GA. He was inducted into the Alabama Coon Hunters Hall of Fame and the Georgia Coon Hunters Hall of Fame and received the distinguished service award from United Kennel Club.

Mr. Watson was preceded in death by two brothers, John Glenn Watson and James R. Watson.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Winstead, Ozark, AL; four stepchildren, Sandra (Clay) Winstead Ellis, Ozark, AL; Clara (Wayne) McLendon, Newton, AL; Mickey (Mandy) Winstead, Newton, AL; George (Doris) Robinson, Ariton, AL; two brothers, Ted (Sandra) Watson, Enterprise, AL; Roscoe Watson, Jr., Pensacola, FL; several nieces and nephews.
