Carlos Stanford Clark, age 91, a former resident of Elba, Alabama passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017 at his home in Dothan. Funeral services will be held at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 beginning at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Huff officiating. Burial will follow in Rhoades Cemetery in the Perry Store Community, with Hayes Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at Hayes Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The family will be accepting flowers, or those wishing to make memorial contributions are ask to do so to Alacare Hospice, c/o Hospice and Home Health Fund of Alabama, 2400 John Hawkins Pkwy, Ste 104, Birmingham, AL 35244.
Mr. Clark was a Navy Veteran of WWII, and will receive military honors at the conclusion of the committal services. He also was a member of the Harmony Masonic Lodge in Eufaula for over 50 years, and Masonic Rights will be offered at the burial.
Survivors include his Wife - Merle Wise Clark, Elba, AL, Son - Dr. Carlos Stanford (Jennifer) Clark, II, Dothan, AL, Daughter - Marquita "Kitty" (Tom) Seibert, Millbrook, AL, Grandson - Chris Seibert, Millbrook, AL, Grandson - Mike Seibert, Millbrook, AL, Grandson - Carlos Stanford "Trey" Clark, III, Dothan, AL, Granddaughter- Tatum Rebecca Clark of Dothan, AL and Granddaughter - Trinity Rayden Clark also of Dothan, AL. He is also survived by two sisters Mary Alice Curenton of Dothan, AL, and Betty Welden of Birmingham, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and William Monroe Clark, Sr., along with an infant daughter Sheila Clark, and a son Mickey Clark.
Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Clark family.
