It is with heavy heart that the family of Carol Jan Evans shares the news of her passing. Jan, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 following a short illness. She was 77 years old.

Jan was born on July 23, 1940 to the late George and Dolly Halcomb. She married James Ronald Evans in August of 1955 and they relocated to Dothan in 1965. Jan was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years.

Survivors include her children David (Maggie) Evans, Lakeland, FL, Donna (Brett) Heisler, Dothan, AL, Shawn Evans, Dothan, AL; her grandchildren David Evans, Jr., Jonathan Mele, Ansley Evans, Austin Evans, Addision Evans, Katherine Mele and Asher Evans. Jan was laid to rest on Saturday, June 16th at a private family gathering attended by all her children and grandchildren.

Mom, You are near, even though we can't see you. You are with us, even though you are far away. You are in our hearts, our thoughts...always. Know that you are dearly loved and missed.
