A celebration of her life will be held at 5 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:30 – 5 pm.

Carol Nichols, 69, of Pinckard, AL, passed away April 15, 2022 at her home after a valiant battle with cancer.
A celebration of her life will be held at 5 pm on Monday, April 18, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:30 – 5 pm.
Carol was born on February 2, 1953 to Eugene Seth DeCamp and Lauretta Marie Walz DeCamp in Georgetown, Ohio. She moved to Florida when she was young, and grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Later moving to Jupiter, Florida where she spent the next 40+ years. When she retired 4 years ago, she moved to Pinckard, Alabama.
Carol married the love of her life, Craig, 34 years ago on December 31, 1989 and they both brought 2 kids each into the marriage, Lisa, Donald, Melody, and Mary Jane. Carol loved being around her children and even took in their friends as her own as well. She was everyone’s Mom. She loved her grandchildren beyond measure. She worked in retail for many years, and retired from Wal-Mart after 29 years of service.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Seth DeCamp and Lauretta Marie Walz DeCamp, her siblings, Susan DeCamp, Ruth Melton, and Glenn DeCamp, and by her son, John Eugene Kelly.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Craig Nichols; her children, Donald (Debbie) Kelly, Jr., Melody (Raymond) Shaffer, Mary Jane (Sean, Jr.) Skidmore, and Lisa Stewart; her grandchildren, Donald Kelly, III, Charles (Raven) Woods, Alexis Woods, Sean Skidmore, Jr., Sebastian Skidmore, Lorelei Skidmore, Robert Tenore, Brian Tenore, and Christopher Tenore; her three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Penny (Anthony) Falotico.
