Carole Renee Williamson, 48, of Dothan passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held 6 pm Monday, February 6, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Newton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to Children’s Hospital, 1600 7th Ave. S. Birmingham, AL 35233.

Mrs. Williamson was born June 28, 1963 in Houston County and lived the early years of her life in Dothan. She was a 1981 graduate of Dothan High School and later attended Troy State University. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruce, in 1986 and resided in Eufaula for 5 years until moving back to Dothan in 1991. She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Mack Vinson.

Survivors include her husband Bruce Alan Williamson of Dothan; daughters, Heather Nicole and Amanda Rhianne Williamson, both of Dothan; her mother Carole Vinson (Dave) Ostrowski; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Joyce Williamson; a brother John Randall (Paige) Vinson of Franklin, TN; a sister Dana Michelle Noblin of Marianna, FL; a sister-in-law Beverly (Tim) Humphreys; a sister-in-law Dana (Andy) Ming of Dothan; nieces and nephews, Brandon Tyler Searcy, Haden Danielle Searcy, John Ross Vinson, Lindsay Brooke Vinson, Danielle Nicole Humphreys, William David Humphreys, Kristen Caron Humphreys, Andrew Dalton Ming, and Jessica Lynn Ming.
