CAROLYN CUTCHEN LINGO
ABBEVILLE. . .Carolyn Cutchen Lingo, a resident of Abbeville, died early Sunday morning, August 11, 2013, in Noland Hospital-Dothan. She was 68.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in the Old Center United Methodist Church, near Newville, with Reverend Ray S. Reiley and Reverend Clyde Hancock, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Lingo was a native of Newville, daughter of the late Eddie Loran Cutchen and Martha Graves Cutchen. She moved with her family to Orlando as a child. Mrs. Lingo formerly lived in the Capps community of Henry County before moving to Thomas Mill Creek in 1993. She was retired from Alabama Inter-Forest in Eufaula and was formerly employed by WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville. Mrs. Lingo was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy (Bam Bam) Lingo.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Arthur Moody Lingo, Abbeville; two daughters, Teresa Smyth (Matt), and Kim Railey (Chris), all of Abbeville; three sons, Vince Lingo (Nicholynn), Abbeville; Eric Lingo (Sandra), Chattanooga, TN; and Oran Lingo (Debbie), Abbeville; a sister, Betty Sue Golden, Eufaula; a brother, Kyle Cutchen, Tampa, FL; twelve grandchildren, Kelly, Wesley, Brandy, Brittany, Dustin, Austin, Ty, Dylan, Angel, Bridget, Seth, and Trenton; four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter, Olivia, and Valeon.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Chris Railey, Chris Money, Jerry Adkins, Matt Smyth, Wesley Welch, and David Carter.
