Carolyn Gail (Elmore) Johnson, 79, a resident of Webb, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her residence following an extended illness. 

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Meetze officiating the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

Carolyn was born March 4, 1945, in Panama City, Florida to the late Leroy & Bernice (Dickerson) Elmore. After losing her mom at six months of age, Carolyn was raised by her fraternal grandparents in Houston County. She attended Cottonwood High School and afterward married Bobby Fred Johnson. Together they had two children. Carolyn’s favorite employment was being a lab technician at Flowers Hospital of Dothan. Afterward, she and her husband owned and operated their own small businesses, “CJ’s Grocery” and “BJ’s Body Shop”, both in Webb, for more than 25 years. Carolyn was a cherished member of the community where she became like family to many. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Webb. 

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Fred Johnson; her daughter, Sandra Faye Johnson; four brothers, Howard Elmore, Rex Elmore, Larry Elmore, and Gary Elmore; also, a very special aunt, Earlene McLin of Dothan. 

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Llewellyn (Michael) of Tampa, FL; two brothers, Raymond Elmore and Kenny Elmore, both of Webb; a sister, Belinda Bodiford (Robert) of Pansey; two grandchildren, Reagan McGregor (Patrick) of Ozark, and Nicole Llewellyn of Tampa, FL; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Presley McGregor of Ozark; special cousins, Glenda and Justin Wynn (and others); and several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
