Carolyn Marie Nichols, 79, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Westside Terrace. She was born on June 14, 1942, in Florida to the late Albert Brownlee and Jewell (Thompson) Brownlee.



Funeral Services will be 2:30 pm, Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service, burial to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.



Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and a devoted Christian Lady. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in which she delighted in spending time with her church family. Carolyn enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, along with listening to gospel music, Elvis was one of her favorites. Watching the Atlanta Braves was a hobby she enjoyed. She worked many years as a nurse here in the Wiregrass area. Carolyn’s favorite pass time was spending time with her family.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Clyde Nichols, Sr, and sister; Patsy Durrance



Survivors include her children; John (Mandi) Nichols, of Dothan, AL., Terri Culler, of Dothan, AL.,  Jay (Donna) Nichols, Jr., of  Liberty, TN.,  Danny (Paulette) Nichols, of McMinnville, TN.,  and Ricky (Dottie) Brownlee, of Ft. Meade, FL.,  brother; Buddy (Kay) Brownlee, of Beaufort, SC.,  sisters; Judy (Vernon) Bowers, of Beaufort, SC.,  Betty |Owens, of FL.,  thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, along with her church family and her fur baby; Archie.
