Carolyn Sue Weatherington Davis

Carolyn Sue Weatherington Davis was born on July 23, 1955 to John M. Weatherington, Sr. and Jewel E. (White) Weatherington. Carolyn was a 1973 graduate of Dothan High School.

Mrs. Davis married Bobby J. Jennings, Sr. and to this union were born three children, Bridgett Weatherington, Bobby J. Jennings, Jr., and Robert D. Jennings.

Carolyn loved her family, friends, and the elderly. She was always ready with a laugh and a conversation. She previously worked at Sony’s, Sara Lee, and later as a private sitter.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father John M. Weatherington, Sr., her brother, John M. Weatherington, Jr., her sister, Rosie D. Duncan, her granddaughter, Breunia Jennings, and her nieces, Kelly A. Danzey and Stephanie Gadlin.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Bridgett Weatherington, Bobby J. Jennings, Jr., and Robert D. Jennings; her mother, Jewel E. (White) Weatherington; her sisters, Sylvia (Eddie) Coleman, Sherry Danzey-Brooks, Cathy Vance, and Nadine (Miles) Freeman; her brother, Craig B. (Tamami) Weatherington, Sr.; her nine grandchildren, Precious Brooks, Destine Miller, Keedrein Jennings, Kazmyn Jennings, Audrina Jennings, Bryson Jennings, Ondre Jennings, Ratoria Jennings, and Carter Jennings; her three great-grandchildren, Kemoney Spann, Kelani Spann, and Payton Brooks; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 30, 2021 in New Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 4-6 pm.
